He refuses any path of exploration, and returns as often as necessary on a job that requires a long and careful preparation. Artist tracks the subject, retouching, away. His attraction to the primitive cultures of Africa and the Indian Ocean where he stayed may give it substance. Iulus's works have a soul of its own and visibly fit into an abstraction.
